Huna, which means “secret” or “hidden knowledge,” is a sacred system of beliefs and practices that have been passed down through generations in Hawaii. It encompasses various aspects of spirituality, healing, and personal development. The teachings of Huna are centered around the understanding that everything in the universe is interconnected.

One of the central principles of Huna is the concept of “mana.” Mana refers to the life force energy that flows through all living things. It is believed that by harnessing and aligning with this energy, individuals can achieve balance, harmony, and a greater connection to their higher self.

Hawaii Huna incorporates meditation, visualization, prayer, and energy work to facilitate personal growth and transformation. These practices aim to cultivate a deep sense of inner peace, clarity of mind, and spiritual empowerment. They also emphasize the power of intention, affirmations, and positive thinking as ways to manifest desired outcomes in life.

In addition to spiritual development, Huna also encompasses various healing modalities. Traditional Hawaiian healers, known as “kahunas,” use their intuitive abilities and knowledge of plant medicine to help restore physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Lomi Lomi massage, a therapeutic bodywork technique often associated with Huna, is renowned for its ability to release tension, promote relaxation, and stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities.

Title: Unveiling the 7 Principles of Hawaii Huna: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Living

Introduction (Approximately 60 words): In the heart of the Pacific Ocean lies a mystical land known as Hawaii, home to an ancient indigenous practice called Huna. Huna is a system of spiritual wisdom and cultural beliefs that can guide us toward living a more harmonious and fulfilling life. Rooted in the traditions of the Hawaiian people, Huna encompasses seven core principles that offer profound insights into our connection with nature, self, and others. In this blog post, we unravel the secrets of the 7 Principles of Hawaii Huna and explore their relevance in today’s world.

1. IKE - THE WORLD IS WHAT YOU THINK IT IS
#

The first principle, Ike, emphasizes the power of perception. According to Huna, our thoughts shape our reality. By understanding that our beliefs and expectations influence our experiences, we gain the ability to consciously choose empowering perspectives. Ike teaches us to embrace positive thoughts, release limiting beliefs, and cultivate a mindset that sees limitless possibilities in every situation.

2. KALA - THERE ARE NO LIMITS
#

Kala invites us to recognize our inherent freedom and limitless potential. It highlights the importance of letting go of self-imposed limitations and societal conditioning that restricts our growth. Through Kala, we learn to release fears, doubts, and negative patterns that hinder our progress. This principle encourages us to embrace our innate power and live our lives authentically, without being bound by external constraints.

3. MAKIA - ENERGY FLOWS WHERE ATTENTION GOES
#

Makia teaches us about the significance of focused intention and attention. It asserts that what we direct our thoughts and energy towards expands in our lives. By consciously directing our attention to our goals, desires, and dreams, we align ourselves with the universal energy flow. Makia empowers us to become deliberate creators, influencing our experiences and manifesting our intentions through the power of focused attention.

4. MANAWA - NOW IS THE MOMENT OF POWER
#

Manawa emphasizes the potency of the present moment. It reminds us that our true power lies in the here and now. By fully embracing the present moment, we release regrets about the past and worries about the future. Manawa teaches us to engage in mindful awareness, making conscious choices and actions that align with our highest good. It encourages us to appreciate the beauty and opportunities that exist in each moment.

5. ALOHA - TO LOVE IS TO BE HAPPY WITH
#

Aloha is more than just a greeting; it reflects a way of life centered around love and harmony. This principle invites us to embody unconditional love towards ourselves, others, and the world around us. By cultivating an attitude of compassion, forgiveness, and acceptance, we create a foundation for joy and fulfillment. Aloha reminds us that love is the key to finding true happiness and building meaningful connections with others.

6. MANA - ALL POWER COMES FROM WITHIN
#

The principle of Mana recognizes the infinite power residing within each individual. It teaches us to tap into our inner resources and trust in our abilities to shape our reality. Through self-belief, self-empowerment, and self-responsibility, we harness our personal power to create positive change in our lives. Mana encourages us to connect with our intuition, access our inner wisdom, and embrace our unique gifts and talents.

7. PONO - EFFECTIVENESS IS THE MEASURE OF TRUTH
#

Pono calls us to live a life of integrity, authenticity, and balance. It emphasizes the importance of aligning our thoughts, words, and actions with our core values. When we live in alignment with our truth, we experience a sense of peace and fulfillment. Pono invites us to take responsibility for our choices, embrace honesty, and maintain harmony within ourselves, relationships, and the world.

The 7 Principles of Hawaii Huna offer timeless wisdom that can guide us toward a more conscious and fulfilling existence. By incorporating these principles into our lives, we tap into ancient teachings that resonate with the core of our being. As we navigate the complexities of the modern world, embracing the essence of Huna empowers us to live authentically, cultivate love, and manifest our highest potential. Aloha! 🌺🌴✨

Having 20 minutes uninterrupted time, sitting in comfortable position describe your issue in your head. What it is like? Now allow yourself to relax, breathe in, breathe out, with each and every breath noticing your body is mooooore and mooooore reeeelaaaaaaaax. That’s right. Thinking about the issue move your eyes to the left, to the right, to the left, to the right, to the left, to the right, up and down, up and down, up and down and repeat the movement till you notice the change.1 Imagine above your head ball of luminescent light and allow it at rate and speed that is more appropriate for you as a person slowly descending into your core of being illuminating, transforming and releasing the issue. While you are doing I will chant and facilitate the transformation by gesturing the symbols which will facilitate the release.

  • After just a few days of touring the islands, a visitor to Hawaii is astonished by how healthy and energized he feels. On yet another idyllic island day, he starts up a discussion with a local as they both wade into the warm, clear water of the surf. The traveler exclaims enthusiastically, “I just can’t get over how gorgeous this area is. I feel terrific! I haven’t felt this energized and young in a long time! “Island life is wonderful!” I understand what you mean, the local replies. Consider me as an example. I was completely toothless, completely bald, and unable to even walk when I first arrived here, and now look at me!” Wow, that’s great, the tourist remarks as she turns to face him, how long have you live here? The local replies, “Oh, I was born here.”
  • What’s the difference between a Hawaiian and a Kahuna? A Hawaiian knows how to do Huna, but a Kahuna knows how to do Huna and how to keep it a secret.
  • What’s the best way to learn about Huna? Ask a Kahuna, but don’t expect them to tell you anything.
